Transcription

I decided that I would transcribe an improvisation that Lucas Debargue did as an encore at a recital in Russia. His interpretation is based around the jazz standard, "Just you, Just me". What struck my interest about his performance is his approach to jazz as a classical pianist - it has a very polished feel to it yet still sounds rich in creativity and emotion. Heres the original video of him playing. I was originally intending on transcribing a different piece with more instruments and effects, but that made it way too time consuming to figure out everything, and transcribing for piano turned out much easier. I started this project during this spring break and finished it very late May. 

Here is my transcription (I worked on this at my house using Sibelius, the rhythms on my original file are correct, but when I exported it as a midi to Finale, the notation is clustered but it still sounds the same :/ )
